Bosphorus Tour

What can I do when it's hot, hot, hot? (And I don't want to worsen my sunburn...?) Today's solution was to go on a Bosphorus tour. From Eminönü, I took one of the many "short tours" that go north for about 45 minutes and then turn back. I was one of the first few people on the boat, so I had an illusion of space and peace for about 15 minutes. Then more and more and more people piled on to the point that people were sitting on the overhang of the roof above the first floor deck. It was a prime people watching event! Of course, no tour is complete without cheesy pop music. Some of the teenagers were singing along, but then some Indonesian tourists decided that they wanted to listen to their own pop music. They started playing their tunes on a cell phone--so much for that moment of peace! Still it was great to be out on the water...
