İstiklal Caddesi and Nearby

Today was a walking around day--full of street scenes and art exhibitions. İstiklal Caddesi is a long semi-pedestrian street that links Taksim Square to Tünel. It's important historically, politically, economically, culturally, gastronomically, etc. On my way to the ARTER gallery on İstiklal Caddesi, I took these photos:

The Museum of Innocence is an amazing idea. Thanks for including it here. On a less grand and less permanent level, I could see asking literature students (children or adults)to fashion a response to a novel modeled on this.
