I tried again to find the elusive
Jewish Museum of Turkey, but no luck. Having looked at the map again with Rumeysa, I now see that the street I want doesn't actually connect with the main road I was on. It's a couple of left turns behind some pretty serious construction. Plus, when I was looking for it this morning, I was about the only person walking around, so I didn't feel especially comfortable about getting lost in that construction zone. Ugh. I'll try again another day. I did, however, make it to the
SALT Beyoğlu gallery, which was definitely worth the wait--and I caught the last day of the exhibition! On the top floor, there was a lovely herb and vegetable garden (complete with free wifi internet access, why not?).
